Mzungu Memoirs

ROBERT

Born in Texas, I lived in Louisiana and North Texas while growing up.  After almost a year internship in Breckenridge, Colorado, I graduated from Texas Tech University in 1996, where I met my future wife, Heather.  We were married in 1997 and blessed with our son Caleb in 2005.  Heather & I have lived on the Oregon Coast, the Colorado Front Range, and Central Texas.

I am a Colorado licensed architect and LEED Accredited Professional.  I am a year-round biker, logging around 3,300 miles a year commuting to work and have about 20,000 miles on my current bike.  I have served on the Boulder County Zoning Board of Adjustment, the Christian Center of the Rockies Board of Directors, the Boulder County Homeless Search and Rescue and the City of Fort Collins Zoning Board of Appeals.  I was an Assistant Scoutmaster for 13 years with three different Boy Scout troops, leading several high adventure trips.  I am an Eagle Scout, love the outdoors and have climbed 45 of Colorado’s 53 Fourteeners.

My first mission trip with eMi was in March 2002 to Guatemala and I have now been on 15 trips with eMi.  I have been in 35 countries on five continents.  I am passionate about the work of eMi, finally finding a place for the talents I have been given for the Kingdom.

Hello Robert, is it possible to use this photo in a small display inside the Acholi Hut, at Uganda National Museum. About the conflict and peace process. I am a Danish artist, employed by DANIDA, Denmark, working together with Gulu University and Uganda Museum.
