Sister Connection, a ministry serving widows and orphans, was begun by an American woman who grew up in Burundi and a Burundian sister. The two women feel called to serve widows and children left in the wake of a decade long civil war that killed many Burundian men. We developed a master plan for the hilly 20-acre campus, designed most of the buildings for the campus, developed water supply and wastewater strategies, electrical demand strategies and agricultural recommendations.
